Mark and I were lucky enough to see two of those paintings at different shows at the Museum Fine Arts Houston. It seemed so strange to see the real thing right there on the wall.

Hi Cherie, Vincent is the best! Did you know that his painting career was really quite short? His earliest works were not nearly so arresting. Imagine starting in today and becoming a giant like Vincent in about ten years? He had a God-given gift, I 'm sure. Practice is great but it won't produce masterpieces!.

Hi Nancy, what an experience! I would love to see his originals. The only great artist's originals I have seen personally are a traveling Monet exhibit of the water lilies...before some of them were destroyed by a fire.

Thanks for coming by.

Caroline and I studied Vincent in school this year. She has come to love his mastery as well. I wish I could see more of the all of the Masters artwork up close and personal. We did see some in Portland a few years back. I was astounded at how LARGE some of them are!

Cherie, You know I am learning to paint in oils... so much to learn. I'm working small. I don't practice everyday yet, but its a lifestyle change I want to make. After all, it fits in with the standing up advice I got from the Doctor,: ) the easel is going to be set up out on the patio, next week I hope, and I shall stand there and paint come what may!
