But ruining a pair of running shoes was worth it..I had a really good time just before the cloudburst, and I don't run anyway.
Almost all the photographs and art are from either Google Images or Webshots.com---However, I now have a digital camera and the pictures are going to be my own and maybe I'll use my own art a lot of the time. .

You and me, Lizza, you and me. I am not anywhere near the category of gardener that you are, except that I, too, have the habit of going outside for 'just a minute' and end up digging and rooting around until I end up with an inch of mud on the bottom of my sneakers, and mud on the knees of my pants. Ah well, good clean fun, I always say.
Cute photo!
Cherie, you called it! Good clean fun...
Don't you love the way debris clogs up the "tread" on the soles of your shoes? I take 'em off on the patio so as not to track it onto the carpet. At any given moment there are about three pair of such shoes outside the door.
Oh, yes, Lizza. Our back patio has a delegated place for muddy shoes, too. I wait for the mud to dry, then stick a hand in each shoe and bang the soles hard against each other. Clods fly everywhere, I have to shut my eyes, but it does the trick! I'm sure you've done that a time or two yourself. Good upper arm exercise! ;-)
Cherie, one of the funnest(!) aspects of blogging is to find that you and I are not alone while facing our daily adventures.
