I was too late to get a ham for Easter dinner, sort of a tradition with us. So I got a free range turkey, sweet potatoes, asparagus, and an Easter lily for the table. No children coming so no dyed eggs, baskets, cellophane grass etc....just jelly beans! Always jelly beans. Church after a special breakfast with coffee cake, orange juice, a pile of fluffy scrambled eggs and crisp bacon. Then, leisure for me IF I do a lot of the food prep today. The weather today is glorious. I want to walk, read, work in the yard, play with the dog, straighten the house, set a pretty table and draw. Too much?
Probably, but I don't want to cross off anything. Just take it as it comes.
Wish you, every one, the joy of God's love and redemption.

Beautiful Easter scenes and art, Mom. I miss you and Dad so much and wish we could be together for Easter dinner. Love you more...
P.S. He is risen, indeed!
Lizza--A late Easter blessing to you! I love the choice of Easter art! We still have plenty of cellophane grass, Easter eggs and even jelly beans leftover. Our Easter was a bit cold and wet but today is gorgeous and the kids and I are going to the park! Happy gardening to you. How are the snails?
Did you scroll down to see the monkeys? I like the photo and hope you do too.
I LOVE the monkeys and I think my kids will too, especially my daughter that wants to become a lemur!
A Lemur? Oh, Lisa, how ---words fail me. When and why did she decide that?
Hope your real estate "busyness" as you call it, is going well. Keep in touch, my friend.
Hey, Pam---did YOU scroll down and see the monkeys? You must report. Love, Mom
Well, the Animal Angel's favorite show is a PBS show called Zoboomafoo. It is a documentary for kids about different animals. Zoboomafoo is a lemur. He narrarates the show with the Kratt brothers. We love it because it is educational. Seriously, she's concerned that she can't get married...lemurs don't marry. (my kindergartener has had two offers...) She is asking God to allow her to remain my daughter, my lemur daughter since my children are humans. You get the idea where our daily conversations go. She is actually shedding tears over the fact that she is not a lemur! She wants to go live in the jungle with the other wild animals. She keeps saying she will live in the Texas jungle with the fire ants. Another long story! She's incredibly cute, dramatic, imaginative and animally!
I miss those crazy days with my children. It's not nearly so funny, but I remember what little hypochondriacs my boys were when they were very small. All commercials that mentioned eyesight, for example, sent them into a flurry of pleadings for glasses because they might surely need them.
Yes, I have one of those kids too. Seriously, I make up ice packs and put them in the freezer for her. She bumped her head on the nice, soft, fluffy couch last night and went to bed with an ice pack...Ha ha!
My lemur-child wouldn't wear a pretty bow in her pony tail today...Monkeys and lemurs don't wear bows. (Betcha didn't know that! She even asked me when the last time I went to the zoo and saw a monkey wearing a bow was...That's one smart kid!)
